 The National Content Advisor focuses on the Mamba Midstream Project. The role is characterized by:

- Support establishing the Enterprise Development Center (EDC) offices in coordination with the center partners and management team 

- Monitor the performance of the different initiatives sponsored by the Center and recommendimplement improvement measures

- Coordinate business development opportunities between the Center and the project different contractors including the EPC contractor and sub-contractors

 

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities of the National Content Advisor shall include the following:

- Support the development of the Enterprise Development Center (EDC) concept (scope, schedule, execution plans, and identification of local partners..etc)

- Ensure the timely inauguration of the Center different offices by working closely with the Center management and the partners

- Assist the Center management, as required, in developing the different center pillars including managing the registration portal, training courses materials, website, business and financial advisory and information services and tools.etc

- Assist the center management in identifying Quality and Safety international training programs and accreditation to be offered to the business community through the Center

- Monitor the performance of the Center different initiatives and services provided to ensure that it meets the pre-determined needs and the Center objectives

- Ensure that all the center services, activities and courses are provided to the highest professional standards

- Develop a marketing strategy that achieves optimum utilization of the EDC services, consistent with the project objectives in coordination with the Center management.

- Promote the image of the project EDC as the partner of choice for national Small and Medium Enterprises

- Facilitate the interface between the Center, including its partners and the project contractors including the EPC and the sub-contractors

- Support the sustainability of the Center through the timely transfer of knowledge and the transition of the Center management responsibilities from the leading partner to the local partner 

- Develop the Center reporting requirements and performance metrics that meet and exceed the project, the regulator and the external stakeholders needs

- Analyze and report to Center performance metrics

- Perform other related activities as directed by the project management

- Tertiary qualification in Law, Business, Social Science & Humanities, Lands, Anthropology or related field

- Minimum 10 years business, government, financial institution, training or auditing experience

- Team leadership skill in alignment, empowerment and continuously improving team performance

- Experience in providing sound business and financial advisory services

- Commercial knowledge complemented with community and external affairs understanding is essential

- Knowledge in Qualify and Safety accreditation and certification

- Knowledge of legislations applicable to the Mozambique petroleum industry 

- Good appreciation of government systems and contacts

- Strong report writing and presentation skills

- High level of interpersonal skills in a multi-cultural work environment

- Excellent oral and written communication skills Proven management and leadership skills

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; persuasive with strong business perspective

- Adaptable to changing priorities

- Ability to assess and act on project resource needs

- Experience with interacting with a variety of external entities (e.g., government agencies, NGOs, business community, Government agencies, Financial institutions, EPCs)

- Portuguese and English language proficiency coupled with knowledge of one or several of the local languages used in Cabo Delgado (Swahili, Kimwani, Makonde and Makwe)
